Fire-Boltt Hulk Review (AMOLED Display, Bluetooth Calling And More)

In this blog, we are going to talk about the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch.

This time Fire-Boltt has taken a little longer to launch its new smartwatch because of the frequent launches for a long time, like:

Fire-Boltt Hulk is a Bluetooth-calling smartwatch launched in four different colours (black, silver grey, blue, and gold pink).

I have been using it for the last few days and learned many interesting things about it.

In this Fire-Boltt Hulk review, I will provide all the information about its design, display, UI, and features, which will work to clear your thoughts regarding this.

Let’s get into it.

Fire-Boltt Hulk Review

What’s in the Box

  • Smartwatch
  • User manual
  • Magnetic charger
  • Warranty card

Design & Build Quality

We get to see a beautiful design in the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch.

The edge structure has been given on both sides of the watch and a physical button instead of a crown, which looks pretty similar to the watch’s design.

Fire-Boltt Hulk Design and Build Quality

On the flip side, a few sensors and a charging point are on the backside.

Since this smartwatch comes with a Bluetooth call function, we get to see a mic and speaker on the side of the watch, which we will discuss in the calling section.

One thing I found fascinating about the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch is that the company has used a metallic build, which provides a premium feel.

At the same time, replaceable silicone straps are also seen in it, which you can replace with any other quick-release pin-compatible straps, provided their size is 20mm.

Display & UI

The Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch features a large 1.78-inch (45mm) always-on AMOLED display with a high resolution of 368×448 px.

Having an AMOLED display is an exciting feature in this budget, so if you are looking for a smartwatch with a good display, you can look at these best AMOLED smartwatches.

Let me tell you one more exciting thing about the display.

We see minimal bezels in the Fire-Boltt Hulk; if you like smartwatches with small bezels like me, the Hulk will be a great option.

Fire-Boltt Hulk Display

I used this Fire-Boltt smartwatch frequently during testing in outdoor conditions where I did not face any problem in using it despite the daylight as it gets a brightness of 550 nits, providing enough visibility to the display.

In addition, it has a dedicated, always-on feature, under which you will be allowed to use both analog and digital watch faces.

We get enough brightness in the always-on watch faces which I found to be a great feature; although it consumes more battery, you can try these smartwatch battery-saving points and get decent battery life from the watch.

i) Swipe Functionalities

Let’s talk about the swipe functionalities of the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch.

You can access the notification panel by swiping up, while the control panel can be accessed by swiping down.

Here you get to see the date and battery status as well as some toggle buttons like:

  • Connection status
  • Vibration enable/disable
  • Flashlight
  • Theater mode
  • Brightness
  • Weather forecast
  • Settings

In addition, by swiping left, you will be able to access all the widgets on the watch like:

  • Steps
  • Sleep
  • Heart rate
  • Spo2
  • Weather forecast

The feature I liked the best here is that you have been allowed to add more widgets.

The option of Add Widget has been given at the end of all widgets; through this, you will be able to add the following widgets:

  • AI voice
  • Breathe control
  • Stopwatch
  • Alarm
  • Music player
  • Camera control
  • Exercise records
  • Phone call
  • Flashlight
  • Calculator
  • Period (female health tracker)
  • Timer
  • Notifications

Not only will you be able to add these widgets, but you will also be able to remove the already added widgets; due to this feature, you can place these widgets according to your need.

By doing swipe right, we can use the split screen, which makes accessing recent apps much easier.

We also got to see this feature in Fire-Boltt Ring Pro.

Let us now talk about the menu section.

ii) Menu Section

You have to press the button on the side of the watch to access the Menu section.

Let me tell you that two types of menu styles (grid and list) are seen in Fire-Boltt Hulk, which you can choose through the control panel by Setting>Display>Menu View.

After going to the menu view, you will see the following options:

  • Steps
  • Phone call
  • Heart rate
  • Sleep
  • Spo2
  • Training
  • Exercise records
  • Breathe
  • Weather
  • Shutter
  • Player
  • Alarm
  • Stopwatch
  • Timer
  • Period
  • Calculator
  • Flashlight
  • App download
  • Setting*

*You can also access the watch’s setting directly from the control panel instead of the menu; in this, you will see the following options:

  • Display
  • Vibration & Ringing
  • Low power mode
  • Theater
  • Phone call
  • Call reset
  • AI voice
  • Screen clock
  • Find phone
  • System
  • About

And thus, you can control the Fire-boltt Hulk smartwatch quite easily.

Sports Modes

The Fire-Boltt Hulk is an excellent smartwatch for those who do sports activities, as we see more than 100 sports modes.

If you have read the menu section carefully, you must have seen a Training tab; when you tap on it, you get permission to access all sports modes.

You can get the reports of these sports modes through Exercise Records; a separate section has also been given in the app.

The app will show all the data about steps, heart rate, spo2, and more.

However, this watch doesn’t have a swimming mode because it comes with an IP67 rating, which does not protect the watch from water in a better way.

I think it should have at least an IP68 water-resistance rating to prevent it from water.

Watch Faces

The Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch supports over 100 watch faces.

To change watch faces, you can long tap on the home screen where some in-built watch faces are given.

Apart from this, we get to see a dedicated section for watch faces in the app, which has over 90 cloud-based watch faces.

You can easily install them with a single tap and customize them as per your choice.

Notifications

In Fire-Boltt Hulk, we get notifications of all social media, text messages and calls, but unfortunately, we are not allowed to reply.

In my view, we should have been given the feature of quick reply in a Bluetooth-calling smartwatch.

However, I did not feel any problem receiving notifications.

Bluetooth Calling

The Fire-Boltt Hulk is a Bluetooth-calling smartwatch with a good-quality mic and speaker.

My calling experience with this watch was similar to that of other Fire-Boltt smartwatches in that we also see quite a loud speaker and clear mic.

We receive a call notification on the watch whenever someone calls; however, you are allowed to customize the vibration intensity and ringtone.

You can higher or lower the volume of calls but can’t mute them.

Although, after receiving the call, you are allowed to mute, transfer calls and volume up/down.

AI Voice Assistant

We also see the feature of an AI voice assistant in the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch, which is undoubtedly a fantastic feature.

Since the watch has a speaker, whenever we use the AI voice assistant, we get the output from the speaker.

The voice control feature allows you to set reminders or alarms, get weather information, and even call someone.

When testing this feature, I had no problem completing tasks like setting reminders and alarms or getting weather information, although there were occasional mistakes in calling someone via voice command.

If we talk about the accuracy of the AI voice assistant, it is good according to the budget.

Health Monitoring

Even in health monitoring, Fire-Boltt Hulk has not given me a chance to complain.

This watch supports 24/7 heart rate monitoring and has a dedicated spo2 sensor that measures the amount of oxygen in your blood.

Heart Rate and Spo2 Monitoring in Fire-Boltt Hulk

I compared the accuracy of both the heart rate and spo2 with the help of an oximeter, and I could see accurate results.

Apart from this, sleep monitoring is also seen in this watch with reasonable accuracy, information is not available in much detail, but in this budget, you see good results.

Also, this watch doesn’t have ghost-tracking issues; it doesn’t get readings on the table or in the air, which is good.

How to Pair

The Da Fit app will be required to connect the Fire-Boltt Hulk smartwatch to any smartphone.

You can take the help of the following steps to connect it:

Step #1: Download the Da Fit app and open it

Step #2: Tap on Add Device (Make sure the smartwatch is on)

Step #3: Tap on the smartwatch that the app has detected

And thanks to these three steps, you can connect your Fire-Boltt Hulk to the phone.

Despite this, if you are facing any problem connecting it to the phone, I have provided every process step-by-step in this guide.

In the Da Fit app, you will see all the health monitoring options on the home page, while you can try other options to use the rest of the watch’s features.

Fire-Boltt Hulk Pairing with Phone

I find the UI of this app quite neat and clean; all the options are also easily accessible.

Battery & Charging

As we know that we get to see the calling feature in Fire-Boltt Hulk, you will also be aware that there is a significant drop in battery life due to this feature.

If you use the calling feature in this watch, you get about 2 to 3 days of battery, while without it, you can expect 5 to 6 days of battery life.

Let me tell you one more thing if you use the always-on display feature; there will be some degradation in the battery.

Additionally, you see a magnetic charger in the box, giving the watch a full charge in about 2 hours.

Comfortability

Undoubtedly, the Fire-Boltt Hulk is a large-size smartwatch that will surely make those with thin wrists uncomfortable.

If I talk about me, I have thick hands, so I did not face any problem with its size, and also, perfect quality straps have been used in it which provides better comfort.

However, you can use other straps aftermarket as per your choice, as it improves the comfort manifold.

In short, the Fire-Boltt Hulk is a comfortable smartwatch with a great in-hand feel.

Other Features

Apart from all these features, the Fire-Boltt Hulk has some other stunning features that make it a great deal, like a calculator.

If you are a student or need a calculator, I want to tell you that the built-in calculator is available; due to its large display size, it becomes elementary to use the calculator.

Apart from this, female health tracking features have also been provided in it, which makes it an excellent smartwatch for women.

Plus, valuable reminders come in handy in daily life.

Fire-Boltt Hulk Review: Bottom Line

The Fire-Boltt Hulk is a calling smartwatch whose most significant selling point could be its display as it has a good resolution edge-to-edge AMOLED display.
