In this blog, we will review the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse.

Recently I bought a new Cooler Master MM730 which is a premium gaming mouse.

I mostly review budget gaming gears on this site but after using this mouse I felt it necessary to share my experience with you.

This is one of the lightest gaming mouse I have ever used.

Despite being lightweight, this mouse of only 49 grams is equipped with great features.

So if you are also looking for a lighter gaming mouse then the Cooler Master MM730 is a better option.

Design & Build Quality

When I first saw the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse after unboxing it, I didn’t like its design.

Even after seeing it, it did not feel like a gaming mouse at all.

This is a gaming mouse with a very simple design and looks which is designed for gamers who like simplicity.

Its high-end features make it a great gaming mouse, which we will talk about further in this Cooler Master MM730 review.

A total of 6 buttons have been given in this mouse, 2 buttons are given on the left side, 2 main buttons, a scroll wheel button, and one button are underneath the mouse.

Let’s talk about the feet side of the mouse.

The interesting thing is that it has been given PTFE feet which are known for better sliding.

Gamers often have problems with rough sliding with a gaming mouse, but thanks to its PTFE feet, we get to see much smoother sliding.

The entire mouse is made from polycarbonate plastic which gives a very premium feel.

The interesting thing is that along with using good quality plastic, the overall weight of the mouse has also been reduced.

We will talk about its weight briefly in the next section.

Lightweight

You will be surprised to know that the total weight of this mouse is only 49 grams.

It is a gaming mouse whose target audience is gamers who do esports gaming or work on the computer for a long time.

Working on the computer for a long time can cause wrist pain, so this Cooler Master MM730 lightweight mouse can be used which relieves pain.

Wire

Let us tell you that to make a wired gaming mouse light, a lot of work has to be done on its wire too.

The weight of the mouse cannot be reduced by using ordinary quality wire.

That’s why the wires of the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse are built using lightweight fiber.

Which, at first glance, it appears to be braided wire but it is not.

This wire greatly reduces the friction during the use of the mouse and ultimately the weight of the mouse is not felt.

I tried the Cooler Master MM730 in along with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight wireless gaming mouse, and to be honest, I didn’t feel like using a wired gaming mouse.

Its superior quality wired makes it feel like a wireless gaming mouse.

Comfortability & Grip

It is not an ergonomically designed gaming mouse that may not appeal to some gamers.

Although it is easy to grip and I have not had any complaints in gripping it as much as I have used it.

Personally, I don’t like gaming mouse that comes with a very simple design as MM730.

After using the mouse for a long time with a simple design, it becomes very difficult to grip due to sweat.

However, to get rid of this problem, we get grip tapes in the box.

We can stick this tape over the mouse which provides a better grip.

Although it gives a good grip even without tape, after applying the tape, the grip improves to some extent.

RGB

Since it is a gaming mouse, we also get to see RGB lighting in it.

There is a hexagonal design on the top of the mouse which acts as RGB light.

We can customize this RGB with the help of software, which we will talk about later in the section on software.

Apart from this, lights have also been given on the scroll wheel.

Let me tell you that the light given in the scroll wheel changes according to the DPI levels i.e. different LED lights for different DPI levels.

Switches

The Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse uses LK 2.0 micro-optical switches.

And the company claims that these switches can tolerate about 70 million clicks.

According to the segment in which this gaming mouse comes, they are justified and this can also be expected.

Now obviously I haven’t tested it by doing 70 million clicks but based on the build quality and the experience of pressing the buttons, they can be expected to have a long lifespan.

The special thing about Switches is that their debounce time is only 2 ms.

For those who do not know about the debounce time, let me tell you that the time taken between the first click and the second click is called debounce time.

DPI

In the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse, we get to see a minimum of 200 DPI and a maximum of 16000 DPI.

A button is given at the bottom of this mouse which works as a dedicated DPI switch.

With the help of this button, we can select up to 7 different DPI levels.

To select them, we will need software with the help of which we can customize all the levels of DPI according to our preferences.

If you want, you can increase or decrease its levels also.

So if we talk about gaming mice in this premium segment, the DPI levels are excellent.

Sensor

I would like to tell you that the pro-grade Pixart 3389 optical sensor has been used in the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse.

If you have used a normal mouse so far, you will get an idea of ​​its performance as soon as you use it.

Some gamers feel that the performance of the mouse depends on their skills, but believe me, due to this sensor, the performance of the mouse increases manifold.

I have used from cheap gaming mouse to expensive, but of course, in premium segment gaming mouse because of this type of sensor our gaming experience becomes much better.

Software

To customize the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse, we can take the help of Masterplus+ software.

This gaming mouse is the first product from Cooler Master to support this software.

As soon as I connected the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse to the software, I saw a few tabs:

• Buttons: This tab can be used to customize any button where the option to customize each button is given.

• Performance: With the help of this tab, all the tasks like customizing the DPI levels, polling rate, double click speed, or adjusting the left-right buttons’ response time can be easily completed.

• Lighting: In this tab, we can customize the lighting; whether it is to choose a static color, increase or decrease the breathing speed or turn off the lights, everything can be done through this tab.

• Macros: Coming to this tab, we can use any button as a shortcut by creating custom buttons.

• Profiles: Here we are given 5 profiles where settings can be saved. The interesting thing is that here the profile can be saved according to the game, after which the settings of the mouse will change to the saved settings as soon as you open that game.

And thus with the help of this software, the Cooler Master MM730 gaming mouse can be customized to a great extent.

Who Should Consider

Also, if you find the minimalist RGB gaming mouse attractive with a simple design, it can still be considered.

Who Should Avoid

There are also some kinds of people who should avoid the Cooler Master MM730.

If you are a beginner-level gamer or do gaming for fun, you can avoid it because it is a premium segment gaming mouse.

In this case, you can go for Redragon Gainer M610.

Also, if you are a pro gamer but cannot afford a premium segment mouse due to a low budget, it should be avoided.

Instead, you can go for the Logitech G402 gaming mouse.

Cooler Master MM730 Review: Final Thoughts

The Cooler Master MM730 is a useful gaming mouse and will appeal to gamers who prefer a lightweight gaming mouse.

Since this is a gaming mouse, in final thoughts I am going to share my gaming experience with you.

I tried playing valorant with the Cooler Master MM730.

During gaming, whether to take flick shots, to make fast movements; due to the lightness, a very good experience is obtained.

Also, as you know, this mouse comes with PTFE feet, which makes the gaming experience a lot better.

In short, if you are a good esports player and looking for a lightweight gaming mouse, then the Cooler Master MM730 can be a good choice.
