Let’s talk about it’s design and build quality.

Design & Build Quality

This is the first gaming headset in this lineup of JBL, which is also the most cheapest, so I do not expect anything special in its build quality or design.

You will find it in 3 colors on amazon which are black, white and blue (which I ordered).

JBL Quantum 100 earcups can be swivel but cannot fold. That is why if you are thinking of traveling somewhere keeping them in the bag then it can be a bit difficult.

By the way, in the gaming headset you do not get the better portability as in the normal headphones.

The JBL Quantum 100 headphones are made of plastic which seems to be of very cheap quality.

On its ear cups you will find a cushion of memory foam, which has an average quality.

Although its headband is flexible, you can flex it to some extent, but its quality seems to be quite cheap, leaving it at risk of breaking.

Gamers often give priority to RGB lights whenever they buy a gaming headset, but unfortunately this wired gaming headset does not give you any RGB lights which is a bit disappointing for RGB lovers like me.

But when considering its price point, everything seems average.

The whole headset is very lightweight due to the plastic, which is a good thing for gamers who like light headsets.

Overall, its design and build quality are average. You don’t get to see anything special in it.

Controls

Like the rest of the gaming headset, it also has only the mic mute button with the volume controller.

Thankfully, both offer plenty of physical feedback, as the volume scroll wheel stops at the minimum and maximum increments, while the mic mute button is very clicky.

Other than this, you won’t get to see anything special in the controls.

Compatibility

Since this is a wired gaming headset, you get 4.1 ft long braided cable that connects easily to almost all devices.

Then whether you connect it to your PC, PS4 or Xbox or any of your mobiles.

This helps you a lot in compatibility which is expected from a wired gaming headset. So the JBL Quantum 100 gaming headphones are quite good in compatibility.

Microphone

The JBL Quantum 100 has given you a detachable boom microphone. Given its price, the quality of the microphone is truly remarkable.

JBL Quantum 100 detachable mic

This makes your voice sound deep, full-bodied, natural and almost completely free of distortion.

So when you are gaming with your teammates, you will definitely get the benefit.

Along with this, with this headphone you also get windshield foam for microphone.

Sound

JBL Quantum 100 is a gaming headset so it is not good for music listening but you can make it a bit better by using equalizer.

Let us first talk about the isolation of the JBL Quantum 100 headset. Due to their better fitting, there is a good isolation, so that you can focus on gaming comfortably.

In these, you have been given 40mm drivers, which are considered much better to produce ample amount of sound.

Although you do not get a good bass in them, but they get good clarity so that the footsteps and vocals can be easily identified in the games.

So even in sound quality, the JBL Quantum headset is not able to perform as well. But again if we talk about the price point then it is an average headset.

Comfortability

In the headband of the JBL Quantum 100 headset, you will find cushioning, which makes it a bit more comfortable.

I tried to wear it for a long time but after a few hours my ears started to ache.

So the JBL Quantum 100 headsets are comfortable but not for long gaming sessions.
