Over the past few days, I’ve been exploring the features of the Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch.

While it may not have met every single one of my expectations, it has certainly shone in several areas.

With this in mind, I’m going to provide a comprehensive review of the Hammer Ace 3.0, aiming to highlight its strengths and potential, so you can make an informed decision on whether it’s the right choice for you.

Looking for a good-looking watch with a smooth user experience?

The Hammer Ace 3.0 might be just the ticket.

It’s great for calls and health tracking, but be aware, the Bluetooth and raise-to-wake might not always work, so keep your phone close.

Design & Build Quality

Design and build quality are the most critical factors for me when I’m considering a new smartwatch. 

If a watch doesn’t captivate me with its design and build quality, it doesn’t earn my trust.

In this regard, the Hammer Ace 3.0 scores full points. 

The watch features an elegant, curved design complete with a functional crown and a power on/off button. 

And rest assured, this crown button is versatile; it’s useful for changing watch faces, scrolling through menus, or adjusting the volume.

On the back, you’ll find a charging point and the smartwatch’s sensors.

The strong build quality is further enhanced by the metal frame. 

Moreover, the straps are skin-friendly and comfortable on the wrist. 

These straps use a pin-and-tuck closure, which I prefer, so there are no complaints there.

Display & UI

The Hammer Ace 3.0 features a 1.85-inch IPS display with a brightness of 500 nits.

It offers five levels of brightness, and I generally find the 2nd or 3rd level to be more than sufficient.

The minimal bezels surrounding the display lend the watch a premium aesthetic.

When it comes to the user interface, Hammer has done a commendable job.

Despite being a budget smartwatch, the Hammer Ace 3.0 delivers a smooth UI, which exceeds expectations.

A swipe down allows you to access its control panel, a swipe up brings you to the menu, and a swipe from left to right near the edge enables you to access the side panel.

Additionally, you’ll find five UI themes that you can use to customize the menu to your preference.

Here’s a handy tip – double pressing the crown button allows you to switch between these UI themes.

Overall, the Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch offers a high-quality display at a very reasonable price point.

Watch Faces

The Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch comes with nine inbuilt watch faces, while additional ones can be accessed through the app.

I’m pleased to inform you that this watch offers an endless array of watch faces. 

This means you can set a new watch face every day.

However, one aspect that bothered me is that the app only provides a limited number of free watch faces. 

If you wish to access all the watch faces, you need to purchase them.

The silver lining, though, is that you don’t need to spend your hard-earned money on this. 

The app uses an in-app currency known as ‘golden beans.’

You can get golden beans by signing in daily and watching video ads, though it might be a bit annoying.

Now, here comes the best part.

The Hammer Ace 3.0 gives you the ability to customize a watch face. 

You can select any widget you wish to display on the watch and also alter their colors.

So, in terms of customization, the Hammer Ace 3.0 offers an incredible amount of freedom.

Bluetooth Calling & Notifications

The Hammer Ace 3.0 features an in-built microphone and speaker, which enable you to use this watch for calls.

There’s an interactive dial pad allowing you to dial any number and make calls. 

It can also sync up to 50 contacts via the app, and you can access your call log directly from your wrist.

Additionally, this calling watch comes with all the essential social media apps for notifications.

However, responding to calls or messages directly from the watch isn’t possible.

One aspect that was particularly disappointing while using the watch was the Bluetooth connectivity.

The Hammer Ace 3.0 employs Bluetooth version 5.0, which unfortunately performs rather poorly.

The watch frequently disconnects, which is a major nuisance.

In summary, the Hammer Ace 3.0 performs reasonably well in terms of calling and delivering social media notifications, but the connectivity aspect is its weakest link.

Health Monitoring

The Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch is equipped with a heart rate monitor, an SpO2 monitor, a blood pressure monitor, and a sleep quality monitor.

Additionally, it supports breathing exercises.

In terms of accuracy, the Hammer Ace 3.0 performs reasonably well.

While there may be occasional inaccuracies, overall, it delivers pretty good results considering its budget-friendly price point.

Nonetheless, it occasionally displays health data on the surface.

Sports Modes

The Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch offers around 60 sports modes.

While it includes all the basic modes like walking, running, cycling, or cricket, they are not particularly useful.

Activating any of these sports modes will only provide you with the duration of the activity and the calories you’ve burnt, but I’m fairly certain the tracking isn’t entirely accurate.

So if you’re looking for a smartwatch specifically to track your fitness data, the Hammer Ace 3.0 may not yield the best results.

However, there are several top-rated smartwatches for sports you might want to consider instead.

Furthermore, the Hammer Ace 3.0 has an IP67 water resistance rating, which means it can’t be used for swimming.

Still, it is adequate for everyday use.

In terms of the step counter feature, I found that the Hammer Ace 3.0 tracks about 70% of your steps. 

However, it’s worth noting that even if you move your hands while sitting, it registers them as steps.

Battery Life & Charging

The Hammer Ace 3.0 boasts a decent battery life.

In my testing, I managed to get about 2 days of battery life, but keep in mind that this isn’t its maximum potential.

Bear in mind that my testing involved intensive use of all the watch’s features, including Bluetooth calling, health monitoring, and various sports modes, which are significant battery drains.

With moderate use, you can expect the Hammer Ace 3.0 to last around 5 to 7 days on a single charge.

App Functionalities

You can connect the Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch to your phone using the HryFine app.

This app features four straightforward tabs that provide access to all the necessary data.

The first tab displays your health data, giving you an overview of your health and fitness metrics.

If you want to delve into more detailed analysis, you can navigate to the next tab.

The third tab keeps a record of your exercise routines, while the fourth tab allows you to customize your watch.

This customization tab offers smartwatch settings, a library of watch faces, and other configuration options.

Overall, the app provides an intuitive interface and boasts some impressive features.

Other Features

In addition to all these features, the Hammer Ace 3.0 smartwatch also includes an AI voice assistant, a calculator, find watch and find phone features, an alarm, weather reports, and sedentary reminders.

Furthermore, it has a Dual Mode feature that allows you to connect your phone with two devices simultaneously.

However, it does lack in-built games. 

But don’t worry, there are top-rated smartwatches available with inbuilt games if that’s a feature you value.

So, when it comes to features, the Hammer Ace 3.0 is a well-rounded smartwatch that offers nearly everything you could want.

We’ve given the Hammer Ace 3.0 a spin around the block, and I must say, it’s quite the performer for its price range. 

Sure, it has a few quirks, like occasionally Bluetooth connectivity and a lack of in-built games. 

But it shines where it counts, offering robust health tracking, customization options, dual connectivity, and a battery life that punches above its weight.

It has an elegant design, a variety of sports modes, and comes packed with a wide range of features like an AI voice assistant, a calculator, and sedentary reminders. 

Let’s not forget its ample watch face options which, though require some patience to unlock, promise a new look every day. 

All things considered, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, feature-rich square smartwatch, the Hammer Ace 3.0 just might be the perfect fit for you.
