Design & Build Quality
You get to see the design of the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch, similar to other Dizo smartwatches.
On the left side, you get to see the crown button, which comes with good tactile feedback, and since it has a rotating mechanism, you can also control the elements of the display.
On the other hand, on the backside of the smartwatch, you get to see the sensors and the charging point.
The best thing I liked about the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch is that it sports an aluminum frame that provides premium build quality to the smartwatch.
When it comes to straps, you get to see 22mm silicone straps, which do not cause any irritation with the skin due to their outstanding quality, giving you a very comfortable feeling.
However, I was pretty disappointed that Dizo used plastic in the strap’s buckle, which does not provide better durability.
Although its quality looks excellent, but it would have been better if it was metal.
In short, Dizo Watch D Plus boasts a beautiful design and also offers superior build quality, and based on this aspect; this smartwatch is definitely worth it.
Display & UI
Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch comes with a large 1.85-inch display; in this, you get to see a reasonable resolution of 240×280 px, which can provide better quality to the display.
In this, you also get to see the brightness of 550 nits; due to this, you will be able to use the smartwatch outdoors without any problem.
One fascinating thing I found here is that you get to see curved tempered glass on top of the display, which enhances the overall look of the smartwatch as well as provides much better viewing angles.
Let’s take a look at the UI of the smartwatch.
On swipe down, you see the notification panel where you get direct access to all the notifications.
By swiping left, you can go to the widget section of the smartwatch where the health monitoring widgets are available, while swiping right gives access to the control panel of the smartwatch.
And finally, swiping up opens the menu section of the smartwatch, where all its options and features are available.
Watch Faces
You get to see more than 150 watch faces in Dizo Watch D Plus, and the best part is that the collection of watch faces is quite remarkable; you get to see many unique watch faces.
To change the in-built watch faces, you have to long tap on the display, while for the watch face library, you can take the help of its companion app.
In this, I noticed one more thing when you customize a watch face and use any of your images, its quality turns out to be very good.
Generally, you see pixelated images on the use of customized images in smartwatches, but this is not the case with Dizo Watch D Plus; having a good display gives you a good watch face.
Sports Modes
You get to see more than 110 sports modes in Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch, which is a good thing.
Additionally, with the smartwatch, you can check sports activity records on the go.
Let me tell you that the 3ATM water rating is available in Dizo Watch D Plus, so if you are fond of swimming, this smartwatch can become your first choice.
You can also check out these waterproof smartwatches for more ideas.
Health Monitoring
Health monitoring is one of the essential features of smartwatches, and low-budget smartwatches generally fail to do well with health monitoring.
However, in Dizo Watch D Plus, you get to see many features as health monitoring, such as:
- Real-time heart rate monitoring
- Spo2 monitoring
- Sleep tracker
- Menstrual period tracker
- Step counter
- Calorie tracker
- Water drink reminder
- Sedentary reminder
The interesting thing is that all these features work well and provide better results.
I tested the spo2 and heart rate monitoring of the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch and got pretty accurate results.
But one thing that disappointed me a lot is that you do not get to see the wear detection feature in this smartwatch, so it measures heart rate or spo2 readings even on non-living things.
However, the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch does an excellent job in terms of accuracy.
App Functionalities
To connect the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch to the phone, you will need the Dizo app, which is available on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
The good thing about Dizo smartwatches is that Dizo has its own app that gives you access to many great features; you don’t have to rely on third-party apps.
This app allows you to access the watch faces library, customize the watch faces, analyze sports activity data, or set up notification apps.
Battery Life & Charging
I was impressed with the battery life of the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch, as you get to see about 14 days of battery life.
However, the biggest reason for extended battery backup is that you do not see the Bluetooth calling feature, which consumes more battery.
If you keep the real-time heart rate monitoring feature on, you can expect about 8 to 9 days of battery life from this smartwatch.
In this smartwatch, you also get to see power saving mode, so if the battery in your smartwatch is going to run out, by turning on this mode, you will be able to keep the smartwatch running for some time.
This smartwatch has a large 300 mAh battery, which takes about 2 hours to charge.
Other Features
Apart from all these features, some other notable features are also seen in the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch.
This smartwatch lets you support in-app GPS, which hardly any other smartwatch in this segment can offer.
This feature tracks your activity with the help of your smartphone’s GPS, which will benefit activities like running or cycling.
But if you want more accurate GPS data, you can consider these best GPS smartwatches.
As I told you, the Dizo Watch D Plus does not support Bluetooth calling, but this smartwatch allows you to cut and mute calls.
This smartwatch also provides you with basic features like music control, camera control, and a find phone, but there are some problems with music control.
In fact, in the music control of the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch, you do not see the names of the songs, nor are there any animations; you only feel the vibration feedback when you perform any action.
Apart from this, you get to see a dedicated notification panel in the smartwatch, which makes it easy to read the notification.
Who Should Consider
Now let’s talk about those who should consider Dizo Watch D Plus.
First, if you have a low budget, then you can go for it.
You can also consider these budget segments:
Second, if the Bluetooth calling feature is unnecessary for you, this option will be better.
Third, if a good display, good build quality, and attractive design are vital to you, the Dizo Watch D Plus would be a good choice.
Who Should Avoid
Some of the people who should ignore this smartwatch are as follows:
First, if you have a reasonable budget, ignore this, as you can own many advanced features.
You can consider the following budget segments:
Second, if the Bluetooth calling function matters to you, consider these best Bluetooth calling smartwatches.
Dizo Watch D Plus Review: Bottom Line
The Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch shows stunning features like a 3ATM water rating, in-app GPS support, a premium aluminum frame, and long battery life.
You get to see some basic features in this smartwatch, but at the same time, many features are also missing.
In this smartwatch, you do not see features like Bluetooth calling, a calculator, or games that other smartwatches offer.
That’s why the Dizo Watch D Plus smartwatch is profitable for those who do not need a calling function.
