Pebble Cosmos Prime Review: Bluetooth Calling, Large 1.91-Inch Bezel-less Display

In this blog, I am going to review the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch.

In addition to the large display, you also get to see a bezel-less curved display which is quite remarkable in this segment of the smartwatch market.

Among smartwatches in this segment, very few are capable of providing such quality displays.

Aside from these features, the brand has added a number of other features, making it one of the best smartwatches on the market.

Design & Build Quality

Pebble Cosmos Prime Design & Build Quality

The design of the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch is quite attractive.

On the right side of the smartwatch, you get to see the crown button and mic, while the speaker is given on the left side.

You will love its crown button; while using the smartwatch, you get haptic feedback from this button which is normally seen in premium smartwatches.

With this crown button, you will be able to use every function of the smartwatch, whether it is scrolling the menu or other elements in the display, and this is what makes it so cool.

Apart from this, if you look at the backside of the smartwatch, you can see sensors for health monitoring.

You might notice that you don’t get to see a charging point here; the reason behind this is that the Pebble Cosmos Prime supports wireless charging.

Another thing I liked about the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch is that you get to see a very good quality metal frame; believe me, it feels like a premium smartwatch.

In this smartwatch, you get to see one thing different from other smartwatches: its straps.

Where other smartwatches provide you with typical silicone straps, you get to see Reversible Magnetic Straps, which are unique and try to offer a cool look.

Pebble Cosmos Prime Reversible Magnetic Straps

Although these straps are available only in midnight blue color, let me tell you that Pebble Cosmos Prime is available in total four different colors (ivory gold, jet black, midnight blue, and mint green).

These straps give you a good look and fit well in every type of wrist, making them very useful.

Display & Watch UI

Pebble Cosmos Prime Display

The most highlighted feature of the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch is its display.

In this, you get to see a large TFT display of 1.91-inch, and the best part is that it is an edge-to-edge display with almost negligible bezels.

You do not get to see an AMOLED display in this, but despite this, the quality of the display is quite amazing, and the watch faces or other elements look amazing due to the good color accuracy.

Also, you get to see the brightness of 600 nits, so there is no problem using the smartwatch outdoors; I have used it in daylight and did not feel any issue using it.

This smartwatch comes with a feature that you only see in smartwatches with AMOLED display, which is always on display.

Yes, the Pebble Cosmos Prime supports an always-on display despite not having an AMOLED display, and the interesting thing is that you can also customize it.

Although it is not completely always on display, you can keep the display on for up to 1 minute.

Apart from this, I was quite impressed with this smartwatch’s UI as you see the control panel like a smartphone.

On swipe down, you will be able to access its control panel, and here you can also swipe to access other options as we do in a smartphone.

In the control panel, you get to see basic options like brightness level, flashlight, vibration mode, and settings, but there is one more feature that very few smartwatches offer: water-draining mode.

This mode is used when the speaker of your smartwatch is filled with water, you have to go to the control panel and turn on this mode, and it expels the water through vibration.

By the way, let me tell you that in the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, you get to see the IP67 water rating so that you can use it in the rain, but yes, you should not use it in swimming.

In addition, you can access the menu section of this smartwatch by swiping up; one of the most interesting things I noticed here is that the Pebble Cosmos Prime allows you to choose from 11 different menu styles.

In general, you get to see one or a maximum of 2 menu styles in smartwatches, but this smartwatch offers 11, which is quite impressive.

Some of the options that are available in the menu section of this smartwatch are as follows:

  • Phone
  • Messages
  • Contacts
  • Call records
  • Fitness data
  • Sports
  • Heart rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Spo2
  • Music
  • Sleep
  • Stopwatch
  • Weather
  • QR code
  • GPS motion trajectory
  • Time
  • Voice assistant
  • Alarm clock
  • Flashlight
  • Calculator
  • Find phone
  • Weather
  • Zen mode
  • Massager
  • Female health
  • Menu style
  • Settings

Apart from this, swiping left lets you see widgets, and you can customize them at your convenience.

On the other hand, with a right swipe, you can access the split screen of this smartwatch, which shows you recent activities.

You also get to see this feature in the Fire-Boltt Ring Pro smartwatch.

In short, the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch lives up to the expectations of display and UI, uses a very good quality display, and your experience will be much better with the smooth UI.

Watch Faces

You get to see some built-in watch faces in the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, while for the rest, you can take the help of its companion app.

The app will have a complete watch face library with more than 100 watch faces.

I found two things very attractive in the watch face section of this smartwatch.

First, you can change watch faces by rotating the smartwatch’s crown button.

And secondly, if you want to lock one of the watch faces on the smartwatch’s display so that the crown button does not change when it is rotated, you can lock it with a long tap on the screen.

Sports Modes

Pebble Cosmos Prime Sports Tracking

You only get to see 11 sports modes in the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, which made me disappointed.

I expected a few more that would greatly help sports enthusiasts.

Although you get to see pretty good accuracy and in-depth data in these, it won’t bother you if you don’t need more sports modes.

Bluetooth Calling

Bluetooth calling function has become an essential feature in smartwatches; every smartwatch brand tries to provide the best Bluetooth calling experience possible.

In this best Bluetooth-calling smartwatch guide, I have mentioned all those smartwatches which give you a better experience.

But now, let’s talk about Pebble Cosmos Prime’s calling function.

In the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, you can see good quality speakers and a mic, which we also mentioned in the build quality section.

The good thing about this smartwatch is that it provides you with loudspeakers so that you can easily hear the other person’s voice.

Along with this, the mic also performs well and can deliver your voice to the other person in a better way.

But one thing which disappointed me is that you cannot switch calls from a smartwatch to a phone while calling; usually, we get to see the option to switch calls from a smartwatch to a phone in calling smartwatches.

However, you can make calls directly from the smartwatch itself, you get the option to sync contacts, and you can also check your calling history.

Health Monitoring

Pebble Cosmos Prime Heart Rate And Spo2 Monitoring

In the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, you can see all the necessary sensors for health tracking.

This smartwatch provides heart rate monitoring and spo2 monitoring, and you will see good accuracy in both.

The smartwatch also allows you to measure blood pressure which is a good thing.

Apart from this, you can also do sleep tracking with this smartwatch, which offers very good reports.

It also tells you about light sleep and deep sleep.

App Functionalities

To connect the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch to the phone, you must install the Wear Pro app.

To connect the smartwatch to the app, you have to give all the necessary permissions, after which you will see four different tabs in the app:

  • Health – In this tab, you will be allowed to analyze data of all health activities like heart rate monitoring, spo2 monitoring, etc.
  • Sport – In this tab, you can access data for all sports modes.
  • Device: All the smartwatch settings, like watch face library, notification apps settings, etc., will be seen in this tab.
  • Me – This tab lets you set your goals or create your profile.

In short, the UI of the app is quite smooth, and you will not feel any problems while using it.

Battery & Charging

Regarding the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch, the company claims it provides a battery life of about seven days.

However, if you continuously use its Bluetooth calling feature, you can expect a maximum battery life of 2 to 3 days.

But by taking some precautions, you can improve its battery life.

The most attractive feature of this smartwatch is wireless charging.

Yes, the Pebble Cosmos Prime comes with a wireless charging dock similar to what you’ll find in premium smartwatches, allowing it to charge in about 2 hours.

Although it does not support fast charging, it is definitely better than the magnetic pogo charging cable.

Comfortability

Pebble Cosmos Prime Comfortability

Regarding comfort, I have no complaints about the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch.

In this, you get to see the metallic frame, and the replaceable straps allow you to use the straps of your choice.

However, this smartwatch offers a unique reversible magnetic strap that enables it to fit all wrist sizes.

Other Features

Apart from all these, you can see many amazing features in the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch.

The smartwatch offers a voice assistant feature, enabling you to access your smartwatch or phone with your voice.

In this, you also get to see a built-in calculator, which can prove useful in many situations.

Normally we need to connect the smartwatch to a smartphone to set a date and time, but Pebble Cosmos Prime allows you to customize the date and time without connecting to a smartphone.

You can also protect this smartwatch with a password, and very few smartwatches offer this feature.

Apart from all this, this smartwatch offers a special feature: GPS motion trojectory.

This feature tells you the live GPS location by tracking your motion during sports activity with the help of your smartphone’s GPS.

However, these best GPS smartwatches will perform better if you do tracking or cycling.

Who Should Consider

Now let’s talk about those who should consider the Pebble Cosmos Prime smartwatch.

First, if a smartwatch’s design and build quality are your priority, then definitely consider it.

Second, the Pebble Cosmos Prime is a great option if you want a bigger display that offers minimal bezels.

Thirdly, in this smartwatch, you get to see many useful features missing in other smartwatches.

Who Should Avoid

A smartwatch cannot satisfy all types of users, so some people who should avoid Pebble Cosmos Prime are as follows.

First, if your budget is very less, then go for another smartwatch instead.

You can check out these low-budget guides:

Second, you get to see very few sports modes in this, so if you perform different sports activities, you can go for the Fire-Boltt Ring 3 instead, which offers more than 118 sports modes.
