Final Verdict

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED is a strong contender for those on a budget who are looking for a comprehensive health and fitness tracking solution, coupled with the convenience of Bluetooth calling.

Its built-in microphone and speaker offer clear call quality, making it ideal for individuals who’d like to manage calls directly from their wrist.

However, if you prioritize fast charging, precise step counting, or a more intuitive app experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

Swimmers and extreme outdoor adventurers should also note that the watch comes with an IP67 water-resistant rating, which means it’s not suitable for swimming.

Design & Build Quality

The design closely resembles its previous version.

Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED boasts a premium metallic design with a crown button on the side, along with a charging point and sensors at the back.

Notably, it features a multifunctional crown button that allows seamless menu navigation and changing of watch faces on the go.

With the larger display, the overall dial size has also increased.

This might pose an issue for individuals with smaller hands.

However, I’ve compiled two guides addressing wrist-related concerns: one highlighting the best smartwatches for small hands and the other focusing on the best smartwatches for larger hands.

Regarding strap quality, it is both decent and skin-friendly.

In conclusion, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED’s design and build quality align with my expectations.

Display & UI

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch boasts a 1.43-inch always-on AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels, positioning it as one of the finest AMOLED smartwatches available.

With a peak brightness of 700 nits, the watch offers ample brightness for outdoor use.

The display features minimal bezels, elevating your overall visual experience.

Operating at a 60Hz refresh rate, the UI provides a seamless and smooth interface.

Furthermore, you have the option to adjust brightness directly from the control panel and can set a maximum display sleep timer of 30 seconds.

However, despite the presence of the wrist raise feature, it regrettably doesn’t function optimally.

Often, when you rotate your wrist, the display fails to activate promptly and exhibits sluggish responsiveness.

Nevertheless, disregarding this issue, the watch’s overall performance remains commendable.

In terms of its display, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED demonstrates strong capabilities.

Watch Faces

My experience with the watch faces on the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch has been a mix of positive and negative reactions.

The watch comes with approximately 9 built-in watch faces and offers over 100 cloud-based watch faces that you can install and download from the app.

Additionally, customization options are available to tailor the watch face to your preferences.

However, I encountered several issues related to the watch faces.

Firstly, downloading and installing a cloud-based watch face can be quite time-consuming, requiring a wait of a few minutes.

Secondly, whenever you switch between these watch faces, you must download them anew, leading to repeated downloading processes.

Lastly, certain watch faces display Chinese language fonts, which become visible on your digital AOD watch face upon selection, proving to be quite bothersome.

Despite these drawbacks, there are a few positive aspects.

The watch face library contains remarkably appealing designs, and the app facilitates the creation of custom watch faces.

In summary, my impressions of the watch faces on the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch are a blend of both positive and negative elements.

Bluetooth Calling & Notifications

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch is equipped with a premium built-in microphone and speaker, facilitating calls at any location and time.

It also allows you to store your preferred contacts directly in the watch.

During my testing, I had an exceptionally positive calling experience.

The speaker’s volume is sufficiently high, ensuring clear audibility of the other person’s speech.

In terms of notifications, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED excels as well.

You have the option to select specific apps for which you wish to receive notifications.

In conclusion, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED stands out as one of the finest budget-friendly smartwatches with calling capabilities.

Health & Fitness

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED has all the health and fitness features you need.

You can monitor your continuous heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, and sleep.

Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED Heart Rate Monitoring

The sleep tracking is almost accurate.

And when it comes to heart rate, there is an alert option too.

You can set a particular BPM and turn on the continuous heart rate option.

When your BPM exceeds the limit you have chosen, the watch sends an alert.

Apart from that, the watch has a female cycle tracking feature, which makes it an ideal smartwatch for females.

I mostly use my smartwatch to track my steps during the day, but unfortunately, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED isn’t helpful in this case.

It doesn’t have a dedicated step counter widget, so you have to open the app to check your steps.

Plus, it is inaccurate as well.

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED has over 110 sports modes, so you can track almost any physical activity you want.

However, the watch only has an IP67 water-resistant rating, which means you cannot take it swimming.

But here is my guide on the best smartwatches for swimming you may be interested in.

Battery Performance

The battery performance of the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED lived up to my expectations.

During my testing, I turned on continuous heart rate monitoring, the always-on display, and took some calls as well.

And the watch lasted around two days.

However, if you follow my tips on how to improve smartwatch battery life, you can get up to 5-7 days of battery life.

Unfortunately, the charging speed is comparatively slow.

You have to wait around three hours to fully charge it, which is kind of annoying.

App Functionalities

The Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch connects to your phone via the DaFit app.

If you face any issues, here is my in-depth guide on how to connect a Fire-Boltt smartwatch to a phone.

Although I don’t like its interface and its functionalities, it does get the job done.

You can download or customize the watch face and change the watch’s settings from the app.

All in all, the app provides enough options to make the watch your own.

Other Features

In addition to its core features, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch comes with a variety of extra functionalities.

It includes an inbuilt game to keep you entertained, but if you’re looking for more gaming options, check out my list of top smartwatches with games.

Furthermore, the watch is equipped with practical tools such as a stopwatch, alarm, timer, calculator, and a phone-finding feature.

Overall, when it comes to features, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED excels, offering a comprehensive set of utilities to meet your needs.

The Bottom Line

In a nutshell, the Fire-Boltt Phoenix AMOLED smartwatch is a feature-rich, budget-friendly round dial option that mostly lives up to expectations.

It boasts strong health and fitness tracking, a premium design, and decent battery life, but isn’t without its flaws, such as slow charging and some user interface issues.

Overall, it offers a well-rounded package that will suit a broad range of users, making it a worthwhile consideration in the budget smartwatch market.
